Monisha is the name of the three brothers’ beloved sister — and the name they chose for the dream they began together.
In Meleng, a village in Jorhat, the brothers started with a small bakery setup beneath a simple roof. There were no grand facilities or easy shortcuts. There was a willingness to work, a belief in building something of their own, and the determination to keep moving forward through challenges.
With perseverance and support from Assam Gramin Bank, the modest venture grew into an industrial bakery setup in Meleng. It was a major step in a journey that began with very little, but carried a vision far beyond its beginnings.

As the business grew, manufacturing and retail developed into two complementary parts of the Monisha journey.

Rooted in Meleng, Jorhat, Monisha Bakery is the production foundation of the business. Its role is to manufacture bakery products, with attention to quality, hygiene and consistency, and support the supply needs of the growing network.
The retail and customer experience.
Monisha Bakers is the customer-facing outlet brand, bringing bakery products closer to families through exclusive outlets and franchise partners. It is where the products meet customers, celebrations and everyday moments.

With determination and support from Assam Gramin Bank, the business establishes an industrial bakery setup in Meleng.
Monisha Bakers opens its first exclusive outlet at Baruah Chariali in the heart of Jorhat town — a milestone that brings the brand closer to customers.
The network has grown to seven exclusive outlets in Jorhat town and two in Majuli, alongside franchises in Jorhat and nearby districts, with the ambition to reach more communities across Assam.
Behind every loaf, cake and pastry is the work of people whose dedication keeps the business moving. Today, more than 500 people work across the factory and outlets — supporting more than 500 livelihoods and helping families meet their needs month after month.
